Camp Tamarack is pleased to offer financial assistance for campers again in 2025 removing barriers for children who otherwise wouldn’t be able to attend camp this summer.
JumpStart funding is now available for our programs and can be combined with Campership to help you covering more of your child’s fee. You can apply for Individual Child Grants here
Camp Tamarack’s volunteer board works hard to maintain relationships within the community to be able to raise funds to support our Campership Program. The funds for this program are received primarily as donations and grants for the specific purpose of sending a child to camp.
To ensure we can continue to offer this program we ask for your assistance as well. Due to this we also ask that each family receiving funding write a letter of support that we can use when applying for additional funding in the future. Those who fail to provide a letter of support put their future funding opportunities at risk. We request that all families applying for campership funding be prepared to make some amount of financial contribution towards the camp fee.
To apply for Campership funding, please complete the below steps:
IF REGISTRATION HAS NOT YET OPENED, PLEASE START AT STEP 3 – OTHERWISE PLEASE BEGIN AT STEP 1
There are a few steps that need to be completed for our Campership applications.
Step 1: Please go online and register your children for the selected program of choice. You can register here (If you have created an online account before, but do not remember your login credentials please let me know and I can get them to you)
Step 2: If able, please make the 20% deposit for each registration to hold their spot. If 20% is not doable at this specific time, please let me know and we can make arrangements. Without a deposit or notice of not able to pay deposit, their spot is not reserved so this step is very important.
Step 3: Please complete the campership application here. On the application form, it will request a “Reference Letter”. We understand that this process can take some time so please just complete the application form, with the reference letter being submitted separately when completed/received if applicable.
Step 4: “Reference Letter” – A letter will be required for each child attending camp to complete their application form. Without this letter, we are unable to complete the application. For this letter, it needs to be a brief letter provided by a person of title that knows your child (Teacher/Principal/Social Worker etc.) Needs to state your child’s name, how they know your child, a brief description of characteristics of your Childs (strengths/weaknesses) and why they feel camp is an excellent opportunity for your child.
Please note: Campership is able to cover UP TO but NO MORE than 80% of each child’s registration fees (upon approval). If you are looking for 100% coverage, we have now partnered up with Jump Start program to help cover the remaining portion of camp fees! If applying through jumpstart, please ensure to let us know in your application,and keep us posted on your approval status
All completed applications are reviewed and funds are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis. Funds awarded may range from 20% to 80%. Successful applicants will be notified via email and/or phone to finalize payment details.
