CAMP TAMARACK YOUTH SUMMER CAMP STATEMENT:
RE. CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)
As of March 28, 2020, all our sessions are set to run as scheduled. We understand that the situation is evolving on a day-to-day basis, and due to the information quickly changing concerning COVID-19 protocols. We are in communication with public health authorities and will make adjustments as additional COVID-19 guidance is provided.
Because camp happens in close communities, we have always taken great care to develop and maintain disease management practices to address a variety of communicable diseases, both common and rare. We believe that prevention is one of the best lines of defense and regularly remind campers of the importance of good hygiene and sanitation practices.
Knowing this is why we have well-established health-specific protocols that follow the regulations put in place by, the Center for Diseases Control and Prevention, to protect our campers and staff during the summer season. As we plan for the season ahead and this situation continues to develop, we are reviewing our in-camp procedures to ensure we are protecting our campers and staff as best as possible.
We will keep this article updated with any changes to our procedures or schedules in the coming months and will contact registered families directly should anything change.
