Tamarack Expedition
Dates: July 12-17th | Age 12-17 | Rate: $750
limited to 8 campers
Tamarack Expedition is an exciting new adventure for campers ready to take their experience beyond the boundaries of camp. This unique program includes a 3-day, 2-night backcountry expedition, travelling to Grande Cache, where campers will challenge themselves with a guided mountain summit climb on Day 2 and a rafting trip on Day 3.
Before departing, campers will spend their first days at camp building essential outdoor skills. Our trained staff will teach the fundamentals of backcountry safety, bear safety, how to check for ticks, hiking preparation, camp setup, meal planning, and wilderness awareness. Campers will leave feeling confident, prepared, and supported.
During the expedition, campers will take an active role in the experience. They will work together to:
Set up and take down camp
Assist with meal preparation and cleanup
Practice teamwork and shared responsibility
Support one another on the trail
When they return to Camp Tamarack, staff will guide campers through a meaningful debrief experience, helping them reflect on their growth, resilience, leadership, and the challenges they overcame together.
This program is designed to build confidence, independence, and strong group connection in a supportive and well-supervised environment.
Required Gear:
Campers must bring appropriate hiking footwear, a sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and rain gear suitable for mountain conditions. A detailed packing list will be provided upon registration.
