Teepee Site

In June 2010 we purchased 4 teepees each with a diameter of 24 feet and established a campsite at the eastern edge of our lease.  A few weeks later the CNRL work crew built a cookshack and 2 outdoor biffies at the site.  One of the teepees has a wooden floor installed along with a center firepit.  At the same time we extended our paved pathway system to the site so that one of the teepees has wheelchair access.

The site was used extensively during summer camp in 2010 and also into the fall season for private rentals.

In the spring of 2011 we plan to install floors in two more of the teepees, complete the cookshack construction and also build a wheelchair accessible bathroom on the site.

The rental rates for the site are:

$150 per day

$250 dollars for a weekend rental (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) plus $5 per person per night.

Discount rates are available for non-profit and youth groups.

There is NO VEHICLE ACCESS to the site except for quads or skidoos to haul in water, food and other gear.  Only adults are allowed to operate the motorized vehicles.  During the weekend, the pathways CANNOT be used as a raceway.    People who rent the site and abuse this privilege will be asked to leave.
